This venerable jet engine has been made in the tens of thousands and is used on Airbus, Boeing, and military aircraft around the world. Unfortunately they are difficult to acquire in the wild due to the high value of their super-alloys and FAA 14 CFR requiring a certificate of destruction when being scrapped. This piece was commissioned as lobby wall art at a fraction of the weight (and cost) of the real thing.
